This is actually spot on. In real Life Ben had his scissors stolen in class, and was telling us about it. We tried to tell him that maybe it was an accident or that they were misplaced. He went on to tell us how everyone knew who it was and the teacher would not do anything. He was pretty outraged. he even went so far as to want to organize athe other guys in class together and set a trap for the kid.

In my mind I suspect they were trying to hatch something along the lines of a scooby doo plot. In any event I think the kid’s dad is that old man that runs the old spooky amusement park on the outside of town.
